Taos Gloomy Guths Column and Erratic US News Montage
A jumble of notes from a 1920s era column touches on a far cry of topics. It mentions engineers traveling from New York to Rio de Janeiro to move a mountain, a pricey project around $12,600,000, and rights tied to a character created by Hud Fisher. The piece mixes odd legal and public notices and local concerns including a Birmingham jail, bank deposits, a potential editorial vacancy, cosmetics spending, and a public posting notice. It reads as a collage of sensational and mundane items with fragmented references to society and law.
