The group, part of the Santa Clara Van Guard from Santa Clara, California, traveled to Fort Worth, Texas for the season opening of the Drum Corps International competitions.

Shiprock man pleads guilty to sex abuse
Michael Crosby, 54, pleaded guilty in federal court to aggravated sexual abuse of a child under 16. Under a plea deal, Crosby faces 2 to 14 years in prison, followed by at least five years of supervised release, and must register as a sex offender. He remains in custody pending sentencing.

Jones Ranch man jailed after January shooting sentence
A Navajo Nation member from Jones Ranch received 24 months in federal prison followed by two years of supervised release for assault with a dangerous weapon. Galbert Henderson pleaded guilty to shooting two men on January 31, 2010 on the Navajo Reservation. He has been in federal custody since March 22, 2010.
