Chinie man injured in fall at Gallup rail yard fence

A 28 year old Chinie, Ariz., man Tom Doe fell from a chain link fence at a Gallup railroad yard and was found by Officer A J Calderon. He was treated at Gallup Indian Medical Center for injuries. Police also reported burglar alarm activity at Sunburst, with an iron grill removed but nothing missing. In separate incidents two officers were assaulted and two injuries occurred in downtown.

Gallup firefighters contained a brush fire of about half an acre near the Hogback on East Aztec after a fireworks flare up Thursday night. Firecrackers were blamed for most calls as fireworks permissible between June 27 and July 4 per city ordinance.
