Yazzie murder sentencing delayed over presentence report

Arraignment May 18, defense sought time extension. pretrial conference set for Aug. 3. Armendariz remains in custody at Cibola County Detention Center on 100000 cash bond following an April 18 incident at L Lincoln Apartments.

Thwarted robber leaves gun behind in Gallup store

A man entered Allsup's at 2801 Ev Aztee Ave in Gallup shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, brought merchandise to the front, claimed he forgot his wallet, and said he would be right back. While the scene unfolded, a clerk sought help to void the purchase as a second clerk entered. The suspect left a gun behind and fled without taking money.
