Solomon Hoover, a longtime Browns town resident and West Earl township elder, died Saturday at age eighty nine years, nine months, and twenty three days. He farmed near Brownstown, retired seventeen years ago, served as West Hark township school director, and was an Evangelical church member for about sixty years. He is survived by twelve children including M D Hoover of Ephrata and Christian D Hoover of Talmage, with many grandchildren and relatives.

Mr and Mrs Wallace of East Earl mourn the loss of their fourteen month old son Robert who died Tuesday from convulsions and whooping cough. The bereaved parents sorrow amid the sympathy of many friends.
