Leroy Martin a 28 year old Blue Ball electrician suffered second degree burns when a 440 volt switch at D S Staltz and Son’s Quarry in Talmage sparked and flashed over his face and hands. Fire in Wash House Causes 1800 Damage Near Terre Hill
Fire believed started by an overheated stove destroyed a small wash house attached to Amos Martin’s home near Terre Hill around 6:50 am Monday, causing 1800 dollars in damage. Reamstown and Terre Hill fire squads extinguished the blaze, saving the main dwelling. The Martin family had been heating water in the wash house when the fire started.
