Burkholder's Shop Looted by Four Armed Men
Four armed men robbed the Burkholder butcher shop near Ephrata, forcing two brothers to lie in a field at pistol point for about ninety minutes. The bandits loaded meat from the shop onto a truck and fled, leaving roughly $150 cash untouched. police, led by Trooper John Lenker, continue the investigation.

Mrs Annie Dillman Showalter died at her home 321 East Main Street this borough at 2 a m Monday from a fractured hip suffered five weeks earlier. She was 79, widow of John Wellington Showalter, daughter of Sammel and Catherine Dillman of New Holland, and a Trinity Lutheran member. Survived by daughters Elizabeth and Catharine, both at home. Private services were held at 2 p m yesterday from the home. Interment in Lutheran cemetery.
