Local Aero Group Elects New Members at Holland Meeting

Ten candidates were proposed and elected to permanent membership in the Aero Corporation at a Wednesday gathering hosted by Benj Snavely in Holland. Carol singing broadcast in East New Holland this weekend

Local groups will perform Christmas carols and record music for outdoor amplification at Lavely's Farm Service in East New Holland. Joseph L Fern will oversee broadcasts on December 18 19 from 8 to 9 p m with a Christmas Eve special. Interested groups should contact the Snavelys. Music will come from the interior broadcasting room.

Borough Awards Contracts For Sewer And Water Main

At an adjourned Borough Council meeting the sewer contract for 3200 feet was won by M. Simon Zuck of Honey Brook for 16 285 28 dollars. The Borough Authority then awarded the water main contract to Wenger Bros of Lancaster for 15 320 25 dollars. Bids for water main construction ranged up to 34 282 29 dollars from John Stops Corp of Harrisburg and included other bids from Jack and Jim Maser and East Penn Construction.
