New Holland Rod and Gun Club 75-Target Shoot Prizes Turkeys

The New Holland Rod and Gun Club will host a 75 target shoot at their grounds two miles southeast of New Holland on Saturday after noon. Turkeys will be the prizes.

Thieves Foiled in Midnight Battery Heist Plot

Sam Plotnick a junk dealer stopped a second attempt to rob his storage shed arriving home at midnight. Police said three radiators lay outside the shed with the entrance open and a fourth found abandoned nearby. Thieves had stolen 35 storage batteries earlier in the month.

New Holland Borough Council held a special meeting to award a 50000 water fund issue. Freemin & Co of Philadelphia was the winning bidder with a 40 premium and a 2 percent rate. Other Philadelphia firms submitted bids with varying premiums and yields.

Christmas Carol Service Planned by New Holland Bligh School

New Holland Bligh School schedules its fifth annual Christmas Carol Service on December 20 and 21. Director William D. Burley leads about 250 voices from three glee clubs with a brass quartet and a candle procession.
