A large barn on the Frank Mentzer farm near Springville in Salisbury Township burned Wednesday night. Tenants John Lowry reported losses of the season's wheat and 1932 tobacco crop. total fire loss about $8,000. Salisbury and Gap fire companies saved nearby structures. all livestock survived.

Two Men Injured at Local Junkyard in Forearm and Palm Cuts

Obituary of Joseph B. Weaver Witmer farmer and mill operator
Joseph B. Weaver seventy nine of Witmer died Monday evening at 8 30 from a complication of diseases. He was a farmer who ran a saw mill and grist mill in East Lampeter township until 1898 and later operated a coal and lumber yard and a large apiary. He was a member of the Reformed Mennonite church for over fifty years. Survived by widow Elizabeth Dietrich Weaver and children Clara M. Noah Lancaster Harry M Witmer M Ray Ada L Annie M all of Lancaster four grandchildren one great grandchild and brothers and sister Mary A. Girvin Leola Aaron and Milton L. Weaver Mountville and Ephraim E. Weaver Kreadyville. Brief services from the late Witmer home Friday at 9 45 then at Longenecker's church at 10 30 with interment in adjoining cemetery.

Earl Township Board Reduces School Tax Levy to 4 Mills
