Norwalk Ohio March International News Service reports Mrs Culetta Schlett 28 and Harold Hastings 35 of Sanborn faced arraignment on first degree murder charges in connection with the automobile slaying of her husband Carl Schlett 29 a horseback riding instructor January 26. His body was found near Bellevue 14 miles from Sandusky. Coroner J D Bradish ruled homicide by unknown person or persons after investigation. The Huron county grand jury subsequently indicted the couple for murder. Mrs Schlett and Hastings were arrested in Sandusky shortly after. Prosecutor Rex Bracy said the pair had been seen together for more than a year.
