Residents Visit and Local Social Notes in New Castle Area
Numerous local residents and relatives are mentioned in a string of social visit notices. Guests include Mrs. Nettle Houreux and family, Mrs. Earl Fulton hospitalized in Mercer, Florance of New Wilmington visiting Mrs. Reese, and many others from West Middlesex, Tarentum, Canton, New Castle, and nearby towns. A church class gathering at Mrs. Earl McGarey’s home featured a luncheon and a business meeting under Mrs. James Black, with special guests Mrs. Clara Rowley and Mrs. J.P. Clark. The note ends with a literary quote and a tongue-in-cheek question about a bald-headed columnist.
