County to establish countywide emergency communications campus
The county's emergency communications system grew from municipal roots to a county operation. Plans envision a campus with training facilities for front line workers including police, firefighters, EMS and EMA coordinators, housed in a 10,475 square foot building with an 8,281 square foot garage on 42 acres. The project, designed by Eckles Architecture and Engineering, with Rien Construction as general contractor, progressed under 91 funding to cover about $1 million in upgraded communications costs.
