At about 10 o'clock this morning a scaffolding collapse at the new Brown and Long garage corner East Washington Street and Florence Avenue sent State Senator George T. Weingartner and merchant David H. Long plunging 12 feet into a basement. Both men narrowly escaped serious injury though Weingartner was severely injured. An early examination noted bruises and the full extent of his injuries remained undetermined at noon.
