Irwin to head UF unit in upcoming campaign
George L. Irwin of Bell Telephone Co. is named chairman of the furniture and printing group for next fall's United Fund drive. He will appoint four teams and leads a unit noted for difficulty in meeting goals amid a three year surge. Irwin, a Wilkinsburg High School graduate with degrees from Grove City College and the University of Pittsburgh, lives with his wife Ruth and children Randy Scott and Darcy.
