Marietta College awards 181st diplomas to 250 students
Marietta College granted bachelor of science degrees at the 181st commencement in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center on May 6. Anthony Tanner of Ellwood City earned a BS in petroleum engineering, and Tanner is a Lincoln High School alumnus. Jenna Herman of New Castle, a Point Park University student pursuing accounting, was named a 2018 Pennsylvania CPA Foundation scholar receiving a $3,000 award and begins as incoming president of Point Park’s Student Accounting Association. Herman plans a nonprofit internship with Mohawk Coffee House in Bessemer this summer and is the daughter of Lesley and Andrew Herman. Also featured was Makenzie Winner from New Castle who performed in a spring recital at University of Findlay. A state House service officer will visit Rep. Chris Saia’s office June 28 to assist veterans with VA and state benefits, no appointment needed.
