Raid Yields Drugs and Firearms in Lawrence County
Lawrence County Judge J. Craig Cox led a raid where a K 9 unit and handler identified drugs hidden throughout the house. About 24 grams of crack cocaine 12 grams of marijuana and several pills were seized along with roughly $2 500 in cash and drug residue on scales. Officers also confiscated assault rifles including one with a shortened barrel. Police chief Bobby Salem said removing drugs and illegal firearms protects officer safety.
