White House Christmas Cards and Tree Topper Rise
The Carter family sends 100000 Christmas cards costing 28000 to the Democratic National Committee. Amy helps place the star atop the Ellipse tree, while a replica 1877 Walker engraving decorates the card showing well wishers in carriages before the North Portico. Amy, 11, helps Dallas businessman John Dixon with the ornament.
