An emergency landing at Honolulu’s municipal airport led to a crash that set a parked C-7 on fire and spread to Hickam field. Rescue crews arrived within 60 to 90 seconds. Fourteen bodies were recovered immediately and two more later. Four injured men were taken to an army hospital.
