The Town Council discussed revisions to the Building Code including parapet wall rules and compatibility with small structures. Officials reviewed W. P. A. wall work delays at South Green St and proposed a separate park ice rink project.
A Nazareth Women’s Democratic Club meeting was held Tuesday evening at The Jacksonian Club. Vice President Ellen Schoch presided over twelve members present. After the session, attendees played cards with prizes awarded to Sarah Knecht Jennie Prants Ellen Schoch Hannah Bonstein Rebeccah Flick Alice Mostenbacher Helen Shafer Lucy Ott Mabel Feth erolf Carrie L. Boerstler Louis Knecht and E Eberts.
The University of Pennsylvania hosts Engineering and Fine Arts Day on Saturday March 12 with exhibits including a new equation solver by Assistant Professor Irven Travis. The device speeds solving a trigonom metric equation to about one thirtieth of the usual time.
Harrisburg March 9 1367 automobile operators licenses were withdrawn by the Department of Revenue in January for non speeding reasons. Of these 409 were revocations with intoxication larceny and miscellaneous causes, and 958 suspensions cited for reckless driving failure to maintain proof of financial responsibility failure to appear at hearings and miscellaneous reasons.

Secretary James F. Bogardus announced that forest fire wardens began their annual inspections across the Commonwealth. New gear including 1500 rakes and 700 spray tanks will be distributed, with radio tests expanding to 13 fire towers. In 1937 fires fell by 215 from 1936 and 796 from 1935, burning 33 850 acres at a record low suppression cost.
The Parent Teacher Association meeting will be held this evening in the High School Auditorium at 7 43. Dr Carl Ziegler of Lafayette College will discuss the present day conception of education. A social period will follow.
A group from the local P O of A No 445 attended Sunday morning services at Bushkill Center. Rev Luther B Klick preached on George Washington highlighting his lasting influence and church involvement as a trustee of the Episcopal church near Mount Vernon. The service included a special choir performance and appropriate hymns.
Preparations are underway for a triple anniversary at the Belfast Evah Reformed Church. The events commemorate the hundred tenth anniversary of the church building the centennial of the Sunday School and the seventh anniversary of the pastorate Rev William H.
Mrs. Arthur Wright announces the marriage of her daughter Gladys McPherson to Frederick Henry Frantz Jr. The ceremony is set for March 19 at 6 00 PM at Faith Reformed Church Oak Lane Pa with Rev Schaffer. Frantz works in the Dixie Vortex Company Easton engineering department.
Nazareth Hardware Company expands with 6600 square feet of existing space and 3840 square feet of new two story warehouse. J F P Schlegel president says modern lighting and wider aisles accompany added departments and merchandise with special opening prizes. Public invited to tour the enlarged store and celebrate thirty years of local business.
Students in local senior and junior high schools elected officers for the second semester. Senior class officers include President William Moser and editor names, with a full student council. Junior and sophomore class officers announced, along with eighth and seventh grade picks and The Comet staff assignments. Anis Elsie Daniel and E. Schreyer completed obstetrics course with high honors.
The Moravian College Glee Club and Band will perform at a local Moravian church on Tuesday March 22 at 8 00 p m. The ensemble of about forty members is directed by J Howard Chadwick and Claude M Stauffer. The club has broadcast on NBC CBS and will air on April 2 at 12 15 p m on CBS WABC.
Fans expect a high scoring Nazareth M C A event next week with two veteran teams, one of married men and one of single men, meeting at 7 20 am on March 17. Authorities predict a three figure total score as the arena fills with a large crowd.

Adults also need leisure programs suited to work life, economy, and self development. He calls education to expand youth and adult activities from construction projects to crafts and sports.
