The Jacobsburg group plans another vermin drive this Sunday at one o clock gathering by the camp fire near the old Jacobsburg Hotel. Members and non members urged to bring foxhounds or terriers and join the hunt targeting foxes rabbits and other game reducing local wildlife.
Local state highway department workers in Mesareth end a severe snowfall siege. Crews operate in shifts to free the main highway and begin clearing back roads. They aim to have all district roads clear by tomorrow amid ongoing efforts to restore traffic.
Next Sunday at 7:00 p.m. the Moravian Church will stage a missionary play titled In Nicaragua. Rev. and Mrs. Stort and Rev. and Mrs. Otto Ger describe six years of mission work in Nicaragua with scenes of native life in a bamboo hut setting. The event aims to raise funds for Nicaragua missions.

A Friday evening party at Mr. and Mrs. Luther Eberts celebrated their daughter Evelyn's 16th birthday with relatives friends and guests. The evening featured bridge games refreshments and Valentine season decorations. John Boles and Margaret Sullivan star in Only Yesterday shown February 19 and 20 by the Eastern Star at Broad Street Theatre. Due to strong approval management reruns the picture Thursday March 15 for a second showing amid high demand from the Firemen’s Ball attendees who missed it.
