Senior Class Takes Trip To New York City

Three buses carried 80 seniors and chaperones Miss Nicholas Mr Shekletski and Mr Knecht for a June 15 excursion to New York City. They entered via the Holland Tunnel and toured Newark to the Aquarium Statue of Liberty Wall Street Market Street Chinatown and the Rescue Society Building near Irving Berlin’s birthplace as they continued the journey.

Fathers Day Service Set at Nazarene Church

Next Sunday at 8 PM Father s Day services will be held at Nazarene Evangelical Church with Rev William H Andrews of Bangor as speaker. Fifteen fathers will sing an old fashioned selection and special musical numbers will be offered. The oldest father will receive a floral tribute. Flowers and flags requested for decoration.

Legion Auxiliary Nominates Officers for Ensuing Term

The Legion Auxiliary of the H. V. Knecht Post 415 held nominations for president and other officers at the Legion Home on Friday. Delegates to the Johnstown convention were chosen with alternates named. A separate dinner at Maplehurst Inn and a baptism in Aluta are noted in surrounding items.
