Lions Club Honors First President With Colorful Party

The Lions Club held a patriotic banquet last Wednesday with a birthday party theme. L. H. Beam praised the event while Harry E. Frey decorated the room with cherry trees and Old Glory. R. N. Taylor spoke on Washington, the Father of His Country, for over 30 minutes, and a large guest list attended including Rogers Braver and C. P. Shires. The next meeting will be at Kleckneraville, with Northampton Exchange Club as guests.

Stray Dogs Impounded After Suspected Sheep Kill

Last week officers impounded two stray dogs believed to have killed Mr. Rabenwold's sheep about two weeks ago. J. G. Best, long hospitalized at Haff's, worsened to a semi conscious state since Friday.

Bridge Over R R Probable In New Highway Route

Town Council held a Thursday night session to review proposed ordinances and water rates. A state highway department letter clarified that grade crossing decisions near the station lie with the public service commission, and the department will not estimate costs for an overpass. The council will address annexing land to the borough, while the burgess vows action against drunken street conduct and speeding motorists.

Light Brigade Plans Anniversary Service at St John’s

The Light Brigade of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church will observe its anniversary with a Sunday service on March 23 at 10 o clock. Mrs. C. K. Lippard, a returned missionary from Japan and head of Light Brigade Societies for the Pennsylvania Ministerium, will be the principal speaker.

Luther Leaguers Attend Big Rally

A large turnout of Luther League members from the local Lutheran church attended the mid winter rally Monday night at St Luke s Lutheran church in Easton. Principal speaker was Haboush once a shepherd in Palestine. Bath party attendees included Rev and Mrs Kerstetter and many named members.

Luther League Social and Business Session Held

The Luther League of St. John's church met at the Hoch home on Bath Bethlehem pike for a monthly session. After business, a social hour featured games and lunch. Prizes went to Lewis Kleppinger and Myrtle Miltenberger. two new members, Sarah Correll and Mark Hahn, joined.

Oldest Bath resident injures shoulder in fall

Mrs Stephen Barber Bath's oldest woman resident fell over toys used by her great grandchildren on Saturday. She suffered a dislocated shoulder, was taken to Haff's hospital where Dr Haff reduced the fracture, and she returned home Sunday.
