Christine Cooley, daughter of Mr and Mrs Harry Cesey, died after a truck struck her and Rue Cooley while crossing a street en route to a skating outing. Martha Schlegel survived with injuries. Albert Herring faced a coroner's inquest and bond set at $2000. Funeral services were held at St Johns Lutheran Church with many friends in attendance.

Wind Gap Man Committed on Assault Charges
William Ducy of Wind Gap was committed to the county jail by Squire James Fry on two charges filed by his common law wife Florence Ducy. She accuses him of assaulting her on January 30 tearing off her clothes and repeating the act on February 3. The mother reports an attempted assault on the couple’s twelve year old daughter. Bail was set at 500 dollars for the girl’s charge and 300 for the other. County Detective Ryan and several school nurses are investigating a related possible case.

Death of Jake Fraunfelder Follows Blood Poisoning After Basketball Injury
Funeral services were held for Jacob Fraunfelder at 2 pm with private rites at his parents home and services at St. John's Reformed Church led by Rev. Floyd Schafer. Pallbearers included high school athletes Tony Bolas Paul Bayda Vincent Sandercock Edward Hellick Sterling Koch and Muhlenberg student Samide Shimer. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery after an infection from a blister on his heel sustained during a basketball game led to his death Friday night at 7:50.
