Teachers and officers of the Qeday School Moravian Gureh held a covered dish supper Thursday in the church social hall. Thirty four attended. C F Martin presided as superintendent. New officers were elected for the coming year with Wink chosen superintendent and assistants Brocker and Miss G Elizabeth. Other appointments included Isabel Russell as superintendent of the primary department, Ear Stroman as secretary, Emil y treasurer, Earl Stroman pianist, and Sadie Rohrbach, William Gano, Carrie Grunert among department superintendents.
A Thanksgiving offering at St. dns Reformed Church totaled 87 and will be split evenly as in past practice. Birthdays celebrated at Luke's Hospital and Bethlehem Hospital in Wilson Bar were noted as meetings extended to Arthur R Mevers and Brenig of town.

The 27th annual Christmas Seal drive starts December 1 the day after Thanksgiving. Seals cost one cent each and Health Bonds range up to £5. Health is a gift and Thanks for Health Day highlights the effort as tuberculosis remains the leading killer among ages 15 to 45 in Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania tuberculosis conference is set for Harrisburg on January 23 and 24, aligned with the 42nd annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Tuberculosis Society. A surgery-focused physician session opens the meeting, followed by a noon luncheon with the Harrisburg Rotary Club.

John A Ruef a fruit specialist from Pennsylvania State College will demonstrate pruning in three Northampton County orchards this Thursday and Friday as part of the Agricultural Extension Service program. Demonstrations cover trees of varying ages with debudding history and different pruning methods to compare development. Memorial flowers were placed on Sunday at the local Reformed Church for Gerald Swavely.
Nazareth Red Cross district workers nearly finished the annual roll call and exceeded the 1000 member quota by more than 400. About 1400 dollars will be turned in by district workers. Mrs. P. B. Trumbower leads the Nazareth branch with assistance from numerous ward volunteers across Nazareth and surrounding communities.
The Keystone Automobile Club explains the Pennsylvania Financial Responsibility Law. Motorists who fail to pay judgments over 200 dollars within 15 days lose vehicle registrations or licenses and cannot restore them until payment and proof of financial responsibility, via insurance or bonds, is shown.
Nazareth Chapter of American War Mothers urges all local members to attend a joint meeting in Easton on Friday evening with the Easton chapter. No changes to pre arranged plans. The Nazareth group will hold a regular session on Tuesday evening December 19 to avoid holiday business. Members to follow both schedules.
The Nazareth School Board approved four Civil Works Administration funded acts to ease unemployment. Projects include exterior woodwork painting at Fairview Building, painting two High School rooms, paving sidewalks on Mauch Chunk Street School property, and grading part of the High School Athletic Field. Funding totals 2 456.75 with supervision by the Board.
The Nazareth post office urges early mailing and shipping to avoid Christmas delays. Extra staff and trucks will handle parcel post. no service Sunday or Monday except special deliveries. Last day to mail to nearby points is December 19. cards for Nazareth routes must be mailed by December 20.
The Hecktown Church men formed a new brotherhood with officers Raymond Weaver president G Jonson secretary Howard Fdel man treasurer. The inaugural meeting included a dinner served by church women under junior class supervision. Ralph Schatz spoke on men’s church responsibilities as 94 men attended. The PTA will meet Friday evening at the High School seating 745. A slice auction chaired by Mrs. Sue Ston will feature a trombone choir and Christmas carols. Mrs. Wilmer ot y er will sing with a quartet. Mrs. Laura Encke will read and Mrs. Ralph Fry will tell a story.
The Ladies Aid Society of the Evangelical Church will hold a bake sale next Saturday December 16 at 10 00 am at the former Godshall’s Meat Market store. Homemade bread cakes pies candy and Christmas cookies will be offered along with home roasted peanuts. Public patronage appreciated.

The Walnutport district Sabbath School convention at Salem Evangelical Church in Danielsville drew strong attendance. Rev B Whetstone urged Christian education while a district survey was reviewed and plans for follow up and leadership work were set for the coming year.
