Naugatuck Junior Chamber of Commerce to hold its second organizational meeting Thursday night at Pythian hall. Open to men 21 to 86 regardless of race creed or color. Three Trees Planted At Tuttle School Grounds
Three trees a pair of maples and a beech were planted on the Tuttle school grounds through the Special Projects committee of the Naugatuck Woman’s Club led by Mrs. John J. Carr and Mrs. Marshall Lang. The gift from Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bowman replaces diseased elms near Church Street. Superintendent Barold E. Chittenden noted seven elms removed due to Dutch elm disease and urged diverse replacements like maple, beech or oak. He plans more replacements this fall.
