Yankey Division Memorial Service Tomorrow in Waterbury

Naugatuck residents who are Yankey Division members will meet in Waterbury tomorrow afternoon at Trinity Church Parish House. Bristol man Joseph Romanowicz, on Massachusetts parole, is jailed in Bristol on a morals charge in a case tied to a domestic relations suit. Bond set at 10000 dollars. Critically Injured In Bus Crash In Hartford

In Hartford a car driver from Thompsonville and a bus passenger were critically injured after a Connecticut company bus collided. The car driver, unconscious and in critical condition, was taken to St. Francia hospital. The bus passenger, Nathan Derderian, was seated on the bus and thrown to the ground as the bus stopped at a red light. Police said the bus driver, Romeo Lavaliers, faced charges for an unauthorized stop.

McMahon Seeks Full Word on Axis Sally Return Plan

Welcome New Congregational Pastor And Wife

More than 400 members of the Congregational church welcomed their new pastor and his wife, the Rev. and Mrs. Willard B. Soper, at a reception last night in the parish house. The Rev. Soper came from Chappaqua, N.Y., preaching his first sermon June 1. He succeeds the late Rev. Edward R. Manning, who died last year after a 22 year pastorate here. Parish Players, under Mrs. Frederic B. Rollinson, decorated the parish house with music by Mrs. Charles D. McCleary. Mrs. Frederick Zonina was general chairman and Mrs. W. Glenn Kirby, chairman of deacons, in charge of hospitality. In the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. Warren D. Abel, Mr. and Mrs. Donald G. MacViney, the Rev. and Mrs. John M. Doyo, the Rev. Sherrod Soule, the Rev. and Mrs. Soper and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Brust. The Rowe Devo was interim pastor of the church.
