Remember When Sept 15 1904 and later notes from Coos County
A collage of items from the region notes trapper VY McCurdy’s return with furs, population gains in Oregon, a playful cow profit puzzle with Tilly Olsen, and editorials on progress. It also recalls 1904 tourism cautions, a Coos Bay Wagon road accident near Rocky Point, eel lore of the Coquille, and a 1924 school holiday declared by the county court. Local society items mention stage derailment, fossils found on Salmon Creek, and a Grand Army gathering at Bandon.
