Myrle Point Native Joins Campus Crusade for Africa Nurse Mission

Janis Franzen a 1970 Myrtle Point High School and 1973 Emmanuel Hospital School of Nursing graduate will join Campus Crusade for Christ Agape Movement. She plans a two year term as a nurse missionary, working part time in a hospital and full time with churches overseas. Salary funded by U S donors. Franzen is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Franzen of Medford.

Oregon Farm Plate Rules Expand Declarations and Uses

Oregon farmers renewing vehicle registrations with farm plates must file a new farm declaration form. The form applies to about 25 000 farm owned vehicles and must accompany renewal notices in the last quarter. Qualified farm use limits include transporting own crops and livestock, farm supplies, and forest products to or from the farm, with at least 25 percent of use on farm operations. Vehicles over 46 000 pounds require review by the Public Utility Commissioner.

Hermann Myrtle Point High vocational agriculture instructor and FFA advisor is nominated for the FFA Honorary American Farmer Degree by the Oregon FFA Association and approved by the National FFA Board in Alexandria Virginia. Superintendent Gerald Bennett reports September 2 1975 district enrollment at 1278 students for grades 1-12 up about 5 from last year. Mexican girl joins Myrtle Point family on Rotary exchange

Guadalupe Pedrero an 18 year old from Tapachula Mexico arrived in Myrtle Point for a nine month Rotary exchange staying with the George Miller family on North Fork Road. She is learning English and enjoying local foods while exploring farm chores and animals.
