The county and state defense councils plan a citywide blackout Friday between 6:00 and 9:30 p m lasting 18 minutes. Air raid observers will time the signal as planes pass overhead and three to four siren blasts will trigger the blackout. Wardens police and fire units coordinate, with schools and juniors participating and reporting to Marshfield county air raid HQ.

Vocational Welding Class Opens at Myrtle Point
A welding and metal work course begins November 15 in Myrtle Point under the vocational program. Harold Gehaad oversees it.
