Ladies Meet in Coquille Tuesday

Thirty two women from 16 fat seas tonmmu in Coos county will meet at the Coquille High school auditorium Tuesday at 10 o'clock for an all day project leader training meeting. Miss Lucy Case Oregon State College foods and nutrition extension specialist will train the leaders via table setting and table decoration demonstrations to be used in communities during November and December.

Young Ellis Enlists in U S Army at Fort Worden

Charles Ellis son of Edna M Flies of Myrtle Point was enlisted in the United States Army on October 18 1938 after examination in Portland. He selected the 14th Coast Artillery at Fort Worden Washington located at Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula.
