Seer coupe hit by truck near Broadbent injures two
A coupe driven by Schritefield of Powers was struck by a J E Ford Meat Co truck from Marshfield two miles south of Broadbent around 6 PM Saturday. The impact forced the car over a 16 foot grade, breaking a front wheel and spraining the front axle. Schritefield and his companion, en route from a hospital, suffered severe shocks.

A hook from a log caused a lying cable to strike him throwing him about feet and bruising him badly. A co worker was injured but not seriously. W E Pearson and J C Haas suffered serious injuries after a Cadillac left the Myrtle Point Roseburg highway near Jenkins Store. They were rushed to Mast hospital. Haas had facial cuts and broken neck vertebra, Pearson multiple cuts and bruises. The car was crushed and the accident may have been caused by log loading nearby.

Driver Escapes After Accident Near Myrtle Point Coquille
Ronald Endicott and Virginia Cole and Edward Sewell rode home from a dance when their car plunged over a 3 foot embankment on the Myrtle Point Coquille highway. Endicott escaped serious injury while Cole suffered burns and a bruised jaw. Sewell was knocked unconscious. A passerby freed Cole from under the exhaust pipe. The car overturned and damaged the windshield and wheel. Endicott left for repairs and has not been heard from since.
