Revival of Dulcimer Craft in Dora Community

Dir. L A Gum Haughan of Dora has taken up dulcimer making as a hobby about two years ago after a California map passed through. He uses straight red fir for stock, claims one percent is suitable, and keeps a workshop in his basement while his neighbor Steve Laird learns the craft at the University of Oregon. The revival trend spreads across the country as younger people take up the instrument and its traditional designs.
