State Police report no trace of Herman Detlefsen of Coquille since he left Saturday morning to check tide gates on Highway 101 Beaver Slough. His wife notified authorities Monday evening after not hearing from him. Detlefsen, 70, was a local resident and the disappearance prompted a search by state police.
