Louise Rachel Rowley, a Powers resident born April 30 1918 in Bend Oregon, died in a car crash south of Broadbent when a distracted passenger caused the Derling vehicle to plunge over a bank. Mrs Derling unhurt. Linda Sue Derling injured lightly. brother Walter Rowley survived.
