Deer Causes Wreck on Highway 42 Injures Woman
Mrs. Tom Forrest of Breed bent injured in a collision on Highway 42 near the Meeth Fork bridge as a heavy mail truck rear ended the car driven by her daughter Charlene Parry. Mrs. Forrest is hospitalized with head pains while Parry suffers shock and bruises. The truck sustained minor damage and Parry's car is insured.

Stitts Escape Injury After Tree Falls on Pickup
On Highway 101 near Otis junction after a Myrtle Point vs Seaside game, a tree fell across the pickup driven by Roger Titler of Florence. Titler suffered possible neck and leg injuries and was taken to Newport hospital. Mr Stitt and Mrs Stitt, of Myrtle Point, had minor injuries and stitches.
