George Albertson of Bandon was elected president of the Coos County Farm Bureau at the annual meeting held at the Coquille grange hall on Saturday October 15. Ted Cook a University of Oregon student drops from a plane to observe the Bobcats finals. He parachuted from an aircraft around three thirty in a field behind his grandparents home near Spruce Street Bridge. Cook joined a local parachute club after earlier serving with firefighters in southern Oregon. his mother Mrs Paula Cook drove him back to Eugene on Saturday.
