Harold Watzling, 54, prominent Myrtle Point businessman, died Monday after a heart attack suffered at a summer home near Agness. He had lived in Myrtle Point since 1933 and owned several local ventures including the Western Auto store with his wife Jacqueline. Funeral services were held Thursday at Schroeder mortuary with interment at Sunset Memorial cemetery in Coos Bay. the Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce voted to close stores from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in his honor. Survivors include his wife Jackie Marie, two sisters, and an aunt.
