Ed Frye's death is ruled a brain concussion with multiple injuries after an autopsy. Three men, Wr: from jail, were released after sheriff investigation failed to find evidence. Funeral planned at Schroeder funeral home with burial in Norway Cemetery. Frye survived by three brothers and two sons.
The American Legion District 8 conference meets in Marshfield from November 11 to 16 with a mass meeting in the evening and calls for member attendance. Pacific Power announces reduced domestic and commercial lighting rates in the Coos Bay district effective January 1 after completing Line 20, a 110000 volt transmission line linking Meyntein States Power and California Oregon Power systems.
Seven Myrtle Point high school boys toured the Portland Livestock Show at the Chamber of Commerce’s expense. Coquille Valley Cow Testing Association releases October results with 71 herds, 1896 cows, 812481 pounds milk and 42984 pounds fat. High herds include Clausen Bros 100 cows at 648 pounds milk, 35.78 fat. C A Carlson 23 cows at 616 milk, 31.83 fat. Nine month totals show Clausen Bros 100 cows 6501 milk, 319.38 fat.
Merten LeClair Hart, eight year old son of Mr and Mrs 8 M Hart of Hayes ranch South Fork, died Thursday night at Mast and Wilson hospital from wounds caused by a dynamite cap. He found the cap while playing in a field after moving from Lincoln county ten days earlier. A fragment struck his throat and he bled to death despite medical care. Funeral was held Friday from Schroeder funeral home and burial followed at Myrtle Point cemetery.

Ed Frye reported to Hermann Tedsen that his Norway store and service station were marked for a raid by three Spokane men who also robbed a post office nearby. Frye died Sunday after being found injured on a Myrtle Point highway. Deputies questioned Tedsen and concluded the warning was true though the raid did not occur last week.
From Volney Huntley fox farm on the North Fork a shipment of $5 Alesha foxes was sent to a Seattle family last Friday, marking a second large summer shipment. The Seattle firm exports foxes to several European countries and touts high quality. Other figures list dairy yields from Clausen Bros P F Bartlett L Heffley and Wade with milk and fat outputs.
City council discussed requiring water meters for all users and metering of sewer taps. Officials noted many firms pay for water via meter while some pay flat rates. lights at intersections and a request for Sixth Street light were also raised. City recorder reported October receipts and approved multiple bills and salaries.
