Halloween Party At School Gym Draws Large Crowd
A large crowd attended the Halloween event in the school gym with festive decorations by Acdell Oderi, Lola Wyrick, Catey Mae Hoffmeister, and Irene Bantek. The school children enjoyed a holiday Friday while teacher Mrs Nelson Russell attended a teachers' institute in Marshfield. Elva Cribbins visited, and residents moved from Reck Creek to Roseburg.

Etalka school pupils enjoyed Hallowe en games and contests Thursday afternoon. Visitors included Mrs Julia Howard Mr and Mrs Ray Grant Mrs Laula Lund and Mrs Reese Daniels. Mrs Clinton Carmen visited his sister in Broadbent. Mrs Robert Swenson of Dunsmuir California stayed with Mr and Mrs James De vereaux over the weekend. Swenson and son Gilbert traveled to San Diego where their son John Robert 3rd class printer in the navy is stationed. Mrs Kermit Hayes and Mrs Kenneth Rolfe who teach in Powers attended a teachers institute at Marshfield last Friday. Mrs Hayes Mrs Rolfe and their mother Mrs H D Bones were dinner guests Friday of Mr and Mrs Vance Eager in Marshfield. Mrs Herb Snyder of Bandon and Mrs Garey Bones visited Marshfield and Coquille Monday. Mr and Mrs Bogue Huntley from Myrtle Point are now living on their ranch here. Mr and Mrs John Warner were Myrtle Point visitors Monday. Clarence Ray and family and Mrs Cora Char feld were Sunday visitors.
