Sewer Charges To Begin With Water Billing In Myrtle
The city will add sewer charges to water bills starting July 1. A minimum charge applies for low water use at 1.38 or 78 cents lower than current rates. larger water use incurs sewer charges in addition to regular rates. Letters will be mailed to water users with their bills.
SWOC Teacher Wins National Science Foundation Grant
Oregon instructor John Geerhart of South Western Oregon College received an NSF grant to attend the Summer Institute in Geometronics at the University of Washington. The program funds 24 college teachers from as far as Connecticut to study geodesy and photogrammetry this summer. Gearhart, based in Coquille, teaches civil and structural engineering and drafting at SWOCC.
