At Myrtle Point High School the track team earned the school’s second consecutive Coos county team trophy and won a permanent cup after a third year of competition. Eaton Feed Store Opens in Myrtle Point
The Eaton Feed Store on West Spruce Street held a grand opening drawing 176 women and 137 men entered door prize contests. About 5800 children received balloons amidst heavy traffic of roughly one thousand visitors despite stormy weather. Helen Cherem won the women’s prize and A M Cooper won the men’s. Store manager Aaron Wils said the response was astonishing and credited Herald advertising.
