School playground funds to be built for future use
Trustees decided insufficient operating funds for a supervised summer playground and delayed purchasing new equipment. Treasurer George Linn reported 4186.54 on hand at year end with 236.56 from carnival and other small receipts. Annual Poppy Sale In Myrtle Point This Weekend
The annual Poppy sale is set for Friday and Saturday in Myrtle Point May 27 and 30. The campaign began in 1982 under the American Legion to aid veteran welfare and rehabilitation. In 1949 the group aimed to sell 20 million poppies made by disabled veterans, with proceeds supporting disabled veterans.
