Dog Kills Turkeys At Lafferty Farm
A dog killed over 60 turkey poults at the L A Laferty home on Arage road Saturday afternoon. Fred Laferty phoned the sheriff to shoot the dog but it escaped. About 20 poults were found eaten, and the next morning more than 40 small turkeys were found dead as the same animal was believed to return.

Jacob Stevens Billings born July 17, 1860 in Jefferson City Missouri died Saturday at his daughter’s home in Marshfield after moving from Myrtle Point. He leaves eleven children including Mabel Billings Violet Billings Beulah Willis Vera Burke Florence Billings T S Billings Elmer Billings Ralston Billings Goldie Harrell Opal Moore and Berlin Billings. Funeral held 1:30 Tuesday at Myrtle Point cemetery with Rev Henry Carver of the Four Square Mission church presiding.

Registration confusion bars voters at Friday primary

Eighth Grade Graduation Ends Pleasant Rural Event
