Two Myrtle Point 4-H Club members earned top honors at the Coos county 4-H health contest held last Thursday in Coos. Donna Floyd of Myrtle Point Junior High eighth grade class was named healthiest 4-H girl in Coos, and Max Hoerster of the eighth grade class was chosen as healthiest 4-H boy in the county. Each winner will receive a full scholarship to a state college campus.

Death of Wallace Keller Dies in Portland Hospital
Wallace Keller youngest child of Mr and Mrs W A Keller died Saturday evening May 11 1940 in a Portland hospital from meningitis caused by mastoid trouble He was born in Coquille in June 1933 and lived in Brewster valley two years ago with his parents later moving to Salem Last rites were held in Salem Tuesday He is survived by his parents and sister Mavis of Salem Two sisters and one brother had preceded him in death.
