Local reports warn counterfeit currency remains in circulation. A man described as five feet five inches tall and about 148 pounds was involved in the incident this week.
Three Acquitted Five Indicted By 2nd July Week
A grand jury returned five true bills and three false bills. Clarence H. Howard was indicted for burglary at the McGeorge Gravel company plant in Marshfield. Chas. Cook and Mabelle Emerson faced unlawful sale charges, as did Nick Anton. Joe Sharral pleaded guilty to unlawful sale of liquor, paid a $100 fine and 90 days jail with suspension on payment. Sharral released after payment. False bills were returned against Jimmy Economy, Tiny Peterson and Arthur Rasmita. Duncan named attorney for Howard.
