Sawdust Theatre announces a May 26 premiere with a benefit for U S entrants to the Munich Summer Olympics. Harold Schneiderman Gregon South Coast chairman and Jon Moore SAC Inc lead the project with limited 210 tickets at 12 80 each. Proceeds support Olympic athletes. Myrtle Point High to graduate 99 this year
Myrtle Point High will combine graduation and baccalaureate ceremonies for 99 seniors at 3 p.m. Sunday May 28 in the high school gym. Speaker Marvin Scherpel will deliver the invocation and benediction. Valedictorian Yvonne Waterman and Salutatorian Susanne Abel will lead the program. Scholarships totaling over 3,000 dollars will be awarded by Darwin Lovell.

Sam Dement to lead Azalea Festival Parade
Oregon Senator Sam Dement is named grand marshal of Brookings Azalea Festival. Parade Saturday May 27 at 10 a.m. will travel two miles from Castle Avenue to Azalea State Park with 7000 spectators expected. Dement and wife Dorothy will attend a seafood luncheon at Azalea Park and he will speak after lunch at Azalea Park with Azalea Queen Sus Preeman and court introduced.
