Myrtle Point to Host 36th Cattle and Horse Raisers Convention

The 36th annual Cattle and Horse Raisers Association of Oregon convention gathers May 26 27 in Myrtle Point coastal headquarters with Wallace Dement as general chair. Local Couple Weds in Vancouver Amid College Careers

A Myrtle Point couple Miss Bonnie Morley and Charles Redell married in Vancouver on May 1. Morley, daughter of Richard and Mrs Arnold, recently finished high school and studies at Oregon State College while pledging Sigma Kappa. Redell, son of Mr and Mrs Redell, earned a football scholarship but lost it due to an old injury. he works for the state highway department and plans to enter college after spring term.

Friday night civic concert at Myrtle Point High School auditorium drew praise. Mrs Glenn Neldeigh and Mrs Mugh Mitchelmore handled arrangements. Coquille Concert Orchestra directed by Muriel Dey opened with a women's chorus featuring Zella May Moen, Bernie Gilleaple, and Gilda Aileen Sumpeteer.
