Myrtle Point FFA delegates at Corvallis last week earned the Keystone chapter honor for meeting state activity requirements. Eugene and Phillip Barrett were elected to the State Farmer degree, one of 24 awarded to 49 chapters, while Robert Lundy was named a state candidate for the American Farmer degree. The gathering also installed new officers and honored 24 State Farmers and five honorary degrees at the Friday banquet.

MP Couple Injured in Tuesday Evening Wreck
Rev and Mrs A A Baker were in a collision on the Coquille highway near Myrtle Point Tuesday around 10 45 PM. The Baker car passed a truck parked on the road and struck the rear fender of a northbound vehicle, sending it skidding before stopping. The Bakers were taken to Mast Hospital with Baker’s face cuts from the windshield and Mrs Baker suffering severe shock and bruises.
