Homer Robinson Named Park Ranger at Carlsbad Caverns

Homer Robinson receives appointment as Park Ranger for the U B Park Service at Carlsbad Caverns New Mexico. He is the son of O H Robinson of Gaylord formerly with the Forest Service at Powers and lately with Hammond Lumber Co of Ramon Callier and Mi. Robinson and his children Peter and Patricia will depart immediately for New Mexico.

Scouts from Bridge present a three act mystery in the school building April Saturday. The plot follows a haunted house owned by Mrs Priscilla Carter and centered on the murder tied to Nellie Bronson with a caretaker Darius Knapp interpreting strange events. James E Bud Hawkins and Greta McLellan were married Monday March 20 1939 in Vancouver Washington. The couple returned to Myrtle Point and reside in the Perkins apartment. Attendants were May Clancy and Mrs J R Wetzel. The bride daughter of Dr and Mrs Grant McLellan, born in North Bend, Myrtle Point High School 1937. Hawkins born in Cloverdale attended local schools and works for Hawkins Brothers mill. A charivari at Roy Hawkins home with 40 friends preceded the wedding.

Man Dies of Injuries After Coos County Crash

A Myrtle Point native born September 25 1911 died March 27 1998 in a Coquille hospital from injuries suffered in a highway automobile crash. He is survived by his father W B Norton and five sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at Gene Funeral Home Coquille with Rev R D E Smith officiating and interment at IOOF cemetery.
